I just wanted to make a couple of announcements about upcoming events prior to your receipt of the newsletter.
First, spring rush is approaching fast – this week to be precise. The active chapter would be incredibly honored for any alumni brother to attend and support the recruitment effort for our Epsilon class.
Events for rush are scheduled for February 1-3. Wednesday and Thursday are interest parties. Friday, we will host a smoker and dress is business casual. Events start at 7 p.m. and last until 11 p.m. All events will take place at 815 Ewing, Murfreesboro, TN 37130.
If you can attend please call Leigh Harlem (615-479-8678).
We have four or five men interested in our spring class prior to formal rush. We want to not only educate them about the benefits of Pi Kappa Phi on a college level, but show them how much our alumni brothers are still involved and care.
The Delta Iota chapter made the highest grade point average of all the fraternities at MTSU for Fall 05. The active brothers will continue to strive for academic excellence to ensure that we stay at the top.
Upcoming events include Rose Ball on March 18. Rose Ball will be held at the Hermitage Hotel in downtown Nashville. Alumni tickets will be $100 per couple. The attire for the active chapter will be black tie; however the alumni are encouraged to attend in either black tie or business attire. We simply want you to be a part of the evening.
Registration for Rose Ball will also be available on the website, MTPKP.com. More details to follow.
There will be a GAP (Give-a-Push) weekend February 24-25 in Ashville. We will be hammering and hauling to revamp a facility that needs to upgrade its accessibility.
The alumni relations newsletter will be published bi-monthly. Your first edition will be out by the second week of February. It will be emailed and posted as a PDF format. Copies will additionally be available on the website (mtpkp.com) and by snail mail upon request.
If any alumni have news or announcements that we can help share with the chapter and your fellow alumni, please feel free to contact me at sah3u@mtsu.edu or by phone at 615-210-8285.
In Pi Kappa Phi,
